Many companies will have a clear idea on the perfect individual they’re looking for to fill their job vacancy, but that person may not exist, so you do have to keep an open mind. The more people you interview, the better.
If a certain applicant ticks a number of boxes on your brief, but they perhaps do not have the sufficient ‘experience’, then you may want to interview them anyway, because they may impress, and develop in your business rapidly, whilst appreciating your company for giving them a chance.
You may not always get passion from a seasoned worker that ticks all of the boxes, and it is often passion, determination and the willingness to learn that sets applicant is apart from others so make sure you business has an open mind when recruiting.
